Welcome to the website of La Poncia, a sweet little cottage on Lake Como. The cottage is named after one of the many mountain streams that feed the lake and it is managed by the foundation Lugropia. The cottage is not a villa, but with all the comforts for a relaxing holiday. During your stay you can choose to stay close to home or to use it as a base to explore the area.
In the immediate vicinity you will find many picturesque villas, estates, villages and cities. There are many possibilities on, at and around the lake. They include walks along the water, through villages and in the mountains. There are several possibilities for water sports such as sailing, water skiing and renting rowing and motor boats. You can also choose to just spend a couple of days on the beach.
If you want to go further afield, you can also go shopping or make cultural visits in Milan for example (100 km, 1.5 hours drive). Since Lake Como is close to the Swiss border, a visit to Lugano or a winter excursion is at your fingertips.
